Atlantic Dance Hall Ends Regular Weekend Operations at Disney’s Boardwalk

Walt Disney World has announced that the Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s Boardwalk will welcome guests for the last time this weekend, September 25th through the 27th. The venue has been a unique part of the Boardwalk’s history, offering a space for guests 21-and-older to dance in its Art Deco ballroom. Here is the official statement from Disney’s website:

Beginning Oct. 1, Atlantic Dance Hall will end its regular weekend operations. Atlantic Dance Hall will continue to be available for private events through Disney Meetings & Events and Disney Fairy Tale Weddings.

The timing coincides with the October 1 opening of Hurly-Burly, a new entertainment and dining venue located just across the walkway. Hurly-Burly will offer food, drinks, and entertainment throughout the day before transitioning to live music for guests ages 21 and older beginning at 9:00 p.m.

As mentioned above, the Atlantic Dance Hall’s closure aligns with the opening of Hurly-Burly, a new entertainment and dining venue at Disney’s BoardWalk. The new venue is located just across the walkway from Atlantic Dance Hall, in the home of the former Jellyrolls Piano Bar.

The closure of the Atlantic Dance Hall is one of the many changes we’ve seen at the Boardwalk in the last couple of years. As far as what else is coming, earlier this summer Disney announced the resort would get a new quick-service dining location. However, not many details are known about that addition to date.

Additionally, a new gift shop called Basin on the Boardwalk is expected to open later this year. The popular gift shop was mentioned with the initial Hurly-Burly announcement.
