A New Quick Service Restaurant is FINALLY Coming to Disney's BoardWalk

Well, Boardwalk fans, our prayers have been answered. Walt Disney World has announced that a new quick-service restaurant is coming to Disney’s BoardWalk Resort. While neither of the two new BoardWalk additions announced earlier today included a new dining venue, there was a small line near the end of the press release that stated the following:

There’s even more to come, with a new quick-service restaurant also coming soon to Disney’s BoardWalk — but more on that later this summer.

Longtime readers of the site already know that our only real complaint about the entire Epcot Resorts Area is the lack of quick-service restaurants. As far back as I can remember, we’ve always struggled to find decent quick-service options here. Currently, there is the BoardWalk Bakery, which offers a few sandwiches and salads, many of which are pre-made. You also have the Pizza Window, which sells two to three types of pizza, whole or by the slice, and the Blue Ribbon Corn Dog Stand.

While that might sound like a decent number of options, it’s truly not. There is no place to order anything like hamburgers, chicken fingers, and similar items that are more suitable for picky eaters, especially children. While these types of items are fairly standard, no-thrills food, they are definitely warranted.

Of course, we don’t know yet what the new quick-service will offer, but this news is 100% a step in the right direction. I hope that there will be a good variety of items for all guests, and that the location will be a place that you can easily mobile order from if you’re spending the day at the pool. It would be great if they even worked out a service that delivers food to your chairs at the pool like they do over at Saratoga Springs. But I’m getting ahead of myself! We’ll have to wait and see what’s next!
