Review: The Chicken Goof-Ups Are a Great Value at Grab ‘n’ Goof
On a recent visit to Epcot, I found myself doing a little creative brainstorming in the World Celebration area of the park. While I was sitting there, I couldn’t help but smell the aroma of fried chicken nuggets. Almost every time I looked up, someone was enjoying an order of chicken goof-ups nearby, and I could see the Grab ‘n’ Goofs quick service window in the distance. It got to the point that I caved and decided to try an order for myself.

Grab ‘n’ Goof is a special quick-service offering that’s available for a limited time during Cool Kids’ Summer. It’s literally next door to GoofyCore, a fun, air-conditioned play space where kids can interact with Goofy this summer. The menu is geared toward children, and surprisingly, nearly everything was under $10.00.

When I first noticed the price of the Goof-Ups, I thought that it wouldn’t be much. But it was actually a reasonable portion for the $5.99 price tag. For reference, my order of Goof Ups came with five Just Bare’ Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Bites, a generous helping of fried cheese curds, and Goofy sauce. I believe the sauce was a combination of barbecue and honey mustard.

I was a little in awe of the price and the portion size. It could have made for a small meal or a shareable snack. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t make many purchases like this in the parks. Since we visit so often, costs can add up quickly. Also, a majority of the items aren’t healthy to eat regularly. That said, I felt like this was a great value, especially for anyone who’s on vacation or has children who are picky eaters. And, hey, who doesn’t like an order of chicken nuggets now and then?
So if you’re in the mood for a reasonably priced and filling snack, you might check out the Grab ‘n’ Goofs window near Communicore Hall (I mean, GoofyCore) this summer. An order of chicken goof-ups might just fit the bill!
