Chip and Dale Greet Guests at the Palm Courtyard Near Disney's Animal Kingdom's Entrance

Chip and Dale are now meeting guests at a new location at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While this offering is listed in the character section of the My Disney Experience app, it’s more of an informal meet-and-greet. For example, they were playing cornhole with guests on the afternoon of our visit. Their new location is listed in the My Disney Experience app as the Palm Courtyard in the Oasis. Well, this one stumped me. I had to ask a cast member for help, and even they were stumped. It turns out, this location is outside of the park’s entrance. So you have to exit the park to find them, or you might by chance run into them coming and going.

Of course, exiting the park isn’t a huge deal. You can always use your ticket to return. That said, if you are going out of your way to meet them, make sure to check the My Disney Experience app for their exact times and confirm the location on the day of your visit. While we try to report changes to the meet-and-greet locations, it’s important to note that these things do change from time to time. So the app is your best resource while at the parks. How to Locate Chip and Dale in the My Disney Experience App

Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.

*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit. Since this is an informal meet-and-greet, there wasn’t a line. Guests were welcome to come up and join the game. We saw that both Chip and Dale stopped to sign autographs when asked. However, there was no PhotoPass photographer at this location. Here are a few more photos.
