Disney Junior Characters Temporarily Relocated at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Update: The Disney Junior Meet-and-Greet Area at Animation Courtyard permanently closed on September 24, 2025.

Disney has recently relocated the Disney Junior characters who usually meet daily in Animation Courtyard. If you’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios over the next few weeks, you’ll want to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app for a few character meet-and-greet changes. This changeup is likely in place for the upcoming Cool Kid Summer, a series of events in the theme parks geared toward children.

You may remember that Animation Courtyard is expected to transform into a space called Get Animated. The space is expected to transform into a special area offering games and crafts designed to keep kids moving and creating throughout the day. Per Disney, this area will have magicians, jump rope performers, and surprise character appearances!

Disney has relocated Fancy Nancy, Pluto, Vampirina, and Doc McStuffins as they prepare for this limited-time summer offering. Here’s where the My Disney Experience app has the characters listed:

• Fancy Nancy (Echo Lake by Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction)
• Pluto (Grand Ave North)
• Vampirina (Echo Lake by 50’s Prime Time Cafe)
• Doc McStuffins (Near Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular)

Update: As of late May, the Disney Junior Characters (Vampirina, Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, and Pluto) have all been moved inside the Get Animated dance party in Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is a temporary offering that will last through September 1st. Unfortunately, they no longer have a traditional meet-and-greet. You can, however, still meet them at the Disney Junior Play ‘ N’ Dine Breakfast at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a character dining meal. (Unfortunately, the Disney Junior Play ‘n’ Dine Breakfast has since permanently closed.)

If you’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios (or any other park) to meet characters, make sure to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for exact character locations.
