How to Get from Disney’s Riviera to Other Destinations
During your visit, you might also want to visit other popular locations like the resort hotels. Most of these destinations will require a transfer. Here are our suggestions for using complimentary transportation offered by Disney to get to these locations:
Monorail Resorts (Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village, and Disney’s Contemporary Resorts): Take a bus from Disney’s Riviera Resort to Magic Kingdom. At the Magic Kingdom, you’ll walk through the security clearance. From there, you can boat, monorail, or walk to the Grand Floridian or Polynesian. You can also walk or take a monorail to the Contemporary.
Epcot Resorts (Beach Club, Yacht Club, BoardWalk, and Swan and Dolphin Resorts): Take the Skyliner from Disney’s Riviera Resort to Epcot’s International Gateway. From there, you can walk or boat to any of the resorts in the area.
Skyliner Resorts (Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation, Pop Century): Take the Skyliner from Disney’s Riviera to any of these destinations. However, it is much easier to walk from Disney’s Riviera to Caribbean Beach.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness: Take the Skyliner to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Then, take a bus to either resort.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge: Take a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. Then, board the bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Things You Need to Know
Transportation at Disney World is subject to availability and hours of operation. For instance, taking a bus from a theme park to a resort might be challenging if you are visiting a resort for an early morning breakfast. In the morning, the priority is to get guests to the park. So, if a bus transfer is required before 10:00 a.m., we usually take a car service for breakfast reservations.
It’s also important to note that alternative options are available for some of the routes we shared. For example, if you’re visiting Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, you might prefer to take a bus to Magic Kingdom and then a boat to the resort. We’ve tried to share the most straightforward ways.
To help, we’ve created a free PDF pocket guide with this information. It is designed to provide a quick reference during your vacation. You can print a copy or save it to your mobile device. Sign up below to receive a copy.
