Limited-Time Magic Shots Coming to Disney World for Debut of ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’
If you’ll be visiting Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the near future, you might want to check out a few limited-time Magic Shots celebrating the debut of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. The film hits theaters on May 22nd, and a new ride scene will debut on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run the same day.
In addition to these Magic Shots, Disney has announced new Mandalorian menu items at select locations in Galaxy’s Edge, along with a couple of new Mandalorian-inspired novelty items like a BDX Droid popcorn bucket and a Mandalorian and Grogu Jet-Pack Sipper. We’ll take a look at those in a separate article, but in the meantime, let’s check out the new PhotoPass options.
Per Disney, guests can find PhotoPass photographers offering these Magic Shots throughout Galaxy’s Edge. Some will be available near the Millennium Falcon, Marketplace, A-Wing, and near Droid Depot. We’ve listed a few exact details where available below.
Rotta the Hut Magic Shot
I believe this first one is Rotta the Hut, who is the son of Jabba the Hut.

Grogu Cookie Magic Shot
Next, we have one called Grogu Cookie. You can find this option at the following locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
- by the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge closest to Toy Story Land
- by the garage across from Ronto Roasters
- by the Droid Depot

Anzellans Magic Shot
These miniature mechanics (the Anzellans) appear to be available as a Magic Shot in front of the Millennium Falcon.

Grogu Force Magic Shot
The final Magic Shot is of Grogu as he uses the force to collect a cookie. Per Disney Photopass, this option is available at the following locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- by the Millennium Falcon
- by the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge closest to Toy Story Land
- in the Market Merchants area
- by the X-Wing near Resistance Supply
- by the A-Wing near Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
- by the garage across from Ronto Roasters
- by the Droid Depot

As always, you will need to purchase the Memory Maker upgrade to enjoy any Magic Shots. Disney offers two unique package options. They are as follows:
- Memory Maker One Day includes all your photos and videos from one day of your choosing.
- Memory Maker includes all your photos and videos from your vacation. Save $25.00 when you purchase Memory Maker at least 3 days before your visit.
If you’re visiting Disney World in the next couple of weeks, make sure to check out a few of these limited-time offerings. Check back with Resorts Gal for more news and updates!
