Disney’s Old Key West Resort at Christmastime (A Photo Post)
Merry Christmas from Disney’s Old Key West! Over the years, this resort has grown on me more than any other. I’m unsure of the exact reason, but every time we visit, a wave of calm washes over me, and I feel refreshed.
We visited Old Key West recently and took a few photos of the Christmas decorations. While the resort isn’t heavily decorated, it sufficiently exudes the Christmas spirit in a style that’s true of Old Key West.
For starters, the center outdoor walkway of Conch Flats was decked out with holiday wreaths on each column. Bright pink poinsettias were added to the planters that line the walkway.
All the decorations feature soft pastels with pops of vibrant colors, as you would expect in the Florida Keys. Here are a few more photos.
I was surprised Papa’s Den, named after Ernest Hemingway, wasn’t decorated. Either way, it’s a beautiful space to relax.
A few small Christmas trees were in the check-in area.
Outside, we see a few more decorations around the Conch Flats General Store.
We have a resort guide for Disney’s Old Key West if you want to learn more about the resort. It is significant in size, requiring multiple bus stops. But that’s one of the trade-offs of staying at such a serene location away from everything else.
