Pajama Party Offers Fun for Everyone at Select Disney Resorts during Cool Kids’ Summer
Select Disney Resort Hotels are offering a pajama party on select evenings this summer as part of Cool Kids’ Summer. Over the weekend, we stopped by two pajama parties to check things out. For reference, you’ll find this recreational offering at Disney’s Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Port Orleans Riverside Resorts.
From our understanding, this unique activity is expected to last through the entirety of Cool Kids’ Summer, which ends on September 8, 2026. You’ll want to confirm the schedule on your visit to verify that information. As always, all offerings are subject to change or cancellation. Each resort has signage with a QR code offering the current schedule.
We visited Pop Century first on Saturday evening, where the pajama party was taking place between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. We arrived at about 7:15 p.m. and found Mickey Mouse out greeting guests beforehand. A cast member told us it was just a surprise appearance and that no characters were guaranteed. She also noted that a character would appear at about 8:00 p.m. during the pajama party.
The pajama party takes place in the kids’ corner of the resort’s lobby. We found fun theming, including extra seat cushions on the floor and several nods to Cool Kids’ Summer.
Signage indicated that guests could enjoy a library that was set up on the far wall. It asked that guests enjoy one book at a time per family.

There were also plenty of coloring and activity sheets.
In the lobby, you might also check out some fun photo props.
There’s even a backdrop set up for Cool Kids’ Summer with an oversized Skyliner cut-out.

He even had fuzzy yellow slippers!
Next, we walked over to Disney’s Art of Animation to compare the pajama parties.
Here we found another fun backdrop and Skyliner photo prop.
As far as comparing the parties, there was one huge difference. At Pop Century, there were about 40 or so guests. Granted, we did arrive a little early. We got to Art of Animation at about 7:50 p.m., and there were well over a hundred guests.
These photos are just small areas where guests were congregating. The crowd extended the entire length of the lobby.
We found a similar selection of books and activities.
At 8:00 p.m., Goofy surprised everyone with a visit in his pajamas.
Cast members allowed guests to line up for a photo op with Goofy. However, note that there were no PhotoPass photographers available. So you’ll need to have your mobile device or a camera if you want to take photos.
Overall, the pajama parties are a fun way to enjoy some downtime at the resort and hopefully see a classic character in their pajamas. It’s also worth noting that these characters rotate resorts and appearances. So you may or may not see the same characters as we did.
