Disney's Blizzard Beach Opening Date Announced for Late 2024

Disney has posted an opening date for Blizzarch Beach in 2024. Disney’s Blizzard Beach is scheduled to reopen on Monday, November 4, 2024. In turn, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will have its last day of this season on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Historically, the water parks were open simultaneously throughout most of the year. Each park is closed yearly for a brief annual refurbishment. However, after an extended closure during the pandemic, only one water park reopened at a time. Therefore, in the past couple of seasons, we’ve seen Blizzard Beach open in the cooler months of the year. Then, Typhoon Lagoon has reopened between March and early November.

You might be aware that a new benefit for Disney Resort Hotel guests will debut in 2025. Per Disney, guests can enjoy complimentary access to a water park (based on availability) on their check-in day in 2025. If you intend to use this benefit, you’ll want to check operating hours for both water parks. We have a complete guide that explains how to use the water park benefit on your check-in day.

We would love to see the return of both parks being open simultaneously and for longer hours in the hotter months of the year. If you enjoy spending time at the pool but have never visited either of the water parks, I encourage you to take advantage of the new benefit if applicable. We spend a good deal of time at Typhoon Lagoon and enjoy the relaxed vacation vibe the park offers. However, those with little ones might enjoy the fun theming of Blizzard Beach a bit more.
