Take a First Look at the Finished Disney’s Island Tower at the Polynesian Villas and Bungalows!
Disney’s Island Tower, the newest expansion of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, opens on December 17, 2024. Disney has shared a first look at the now completely finished site, which will soon welcome Disney Vacation Club members and guests home. Let’s take a first look at what to expect!

We recently previewed the initial menu for Wailulu Bar and Grill, the resort’s dining location. We now have a look at the covered outdoor portion of the new restaurant. Per Disney, Wailulu Bar & Grill will be the perfect spot to savor breathtaking views of the Seven Seas Lagoon. Plus, it will be a huge hit for those looking for a new spot to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks!

Here’s a photo of the interior.

Guests can relax at the new Cove Pool at Disney’s Island Tower. This pool features a zero-depth entry with a separate splash area for little ones featuring Moana-themed elements. A life-size sculpture of a wayfinding Moana centers the area. Additionally, the new resort area will be home to the resort’s new fitness center. Previously, guests of the Polynesian had to walk next door to the Grand Floridian to use their hotel gym.

We also have a preview of two of the four new garden terraces exclusive to guests staying at the Island Tower. Per Disney, you will be able to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from two Terrace Gardens facing the park and a spectacular sunset over Disney’s scenic golf courses from the other two gardens.

Lastly, Disney shared images of a few photos from the villas, including the kitchen area for the one and two-bedroom villas and the living area, which sleeps five (one-bedroom) and nine guests (two-bedroom).

We also have an interior photo of the new (unique to this property) two-bedroom penthouse villa, which sleeps up to eight guests. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see the views!

We hope you enjoyed this first look at the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows! You might also like to preview the new rooms in a separate article.
