A Look at the Latest Lobby and Pool Changes at Disney’s Fort Wilderness
Walt Disney World has shared a look at the latest updates at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, including enhancements to the lobby and main pool area. These changes improve the arrival experience and expand the resort’s recreational spaces for guests.
We’ll start with the lobby update. You may remember the lobby underwent a refurbishment late last fall. Those who’ve visited before will immediately notice some of the updates to Reception Outpost. New artwork above the fireplace adds a playful touch to the space, featuring Mickey Mouse and friends enjoying outdoor adventures that reflect the resort’s rustic setting. Additional details overhead highlight Huey, Dewey, and Louie taking part in classic Fort Wilderness activities like archery, fishing, and camping beneath the trees.

Next, we have a look at the updated Meadow Pool Area. You may remember that a new zero-entry pool was built in addition to the existing pool. The updated setting includes a nod to Walt Disney World history, with a barrel carriage featuring Mickey Mouse in camping gear and a tribute to River Country, the resort’s former neighboring water park. As for the new pool, it offers extra deck space and doubles the room available for guests to relax and enjoy the area.

Overall, these updates add to the Fort Wilderness experience with a more welcoming arrival and expanded space to enjoy a resort day by the pool. The changes feel like a natural extension of what regular guests already appreciate about the resort.
You may remember that new cabins were constructed at the resort in recent years. We haven’t had a chance to stay in an updated cabin yet, but we have a few of the renderings here if you would like to see the floor plans. Check back with ResortsGal.com for more updates.
