New Desserts Now Available at The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
A couple of new desserts have recently debuted at the Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. For reference, the Mara is the resort’s primary quick service restaurant located on the lower level near the Uzima Springs Pool. It’s a great place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy your meal inside or outside. If you’ll be visiting in the near future, you might even want to check out some of the new desserts. I think we can all agree that they are definitely something to be wild about!
We’ll start with the Giraffe Cake Bar. It’s a spotted bar that combines Malva pudding, marshmallow fluff, caramel, and yellow chocolate coating. We actually visited the Lodge a few days ago and saw this treat in the dessert case that sits on the far left-hand side of the ordering area.

Another new item is this Africa-shaped sandwich cookie. It’s a vanilla shortbread cookie that’s sandwiched with raspberry jam, vanilla icing, and chocolate zebra stripes.

Last but not least, we have the Caramel-Banana Cupcake. This cupcake has a vanilla cake base, caramel-banana filling, banana buttercream, and caramel-chocolate Mickey ears. It looks delicious.

Of course, the popular (and tasty) Zebra Domes and Sunflower Cake remain on the menu. For more on dining at this resort, you might enjoy our list of restaurants at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. In the meantime, we’ll add these treats to our guide featuring new snacks at Disney World in 2026. Check back with Resorts Gal for more updates around the resort hotels!
