Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to Close for First Refurbishment Since Opening

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom will temporarily close for refurbishment beginning November 2, 2026. The attraction is expected to reopen sometime in December, although Disney has not announced a specific reopening date at this time.

This will be the first official refurbishment of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure since the attraction opened at Magic Kingdom in June 2024. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure takes guests on a musical journey through the bayou as Tiana prepares for a special celebration. The attraction features familiar characters, music, and scenes inspired by the film, along with a thrilling log flume-style finale.

The refurbishment is scheduled to begin on November 2, 2026, and Disney currently expects the attraction to reopen in December 2026. A specific reopening date has not yet been provided. Guests visiting Magic Kingdom during the closure should be aware that the refurbishment will affect more than just the ride itself. Tiana’s Bayou General shop and the attraction’s photo shop will also be closed while the attraction is unavailable.

Because the ride has been operating for more than two years since its opening, this upcoming closure will provide an opportunity for Disney to perform maintenance and other needed work. At this time, Disney has not provided additional details about the specific work taking place during the refurbishment. The closure will remove one of the park’s newest attractions from the lineup temporarily. If you’re visiting Disney World in November, you’ll want to be aware that this attraction will not be available for almost the entirety of the month.
