United States Air Force Flyover Announced for Magic Kingdom and Epcot on July 4th
Walt Disney World has announced the U.S. Air Force Reserve’s 920th Rescue Wing from Patrick Space Force Base will fly over both Magic Kingdom and Epcot this 4th of July. The flyover is expected to begin at 10:30 a.m. on the holiday as long as weather allows.
This is not the first time a flyover has taken place at Walt Disney World. Back in 2023, the US Air Force Thunderbirds flew over Cinderella Castle and Spaceship Earth on the 4th of July, and in late October of 2022. Here are a few photos from those flyovers.

The 920th Rescue Wing is located at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida, with over 2,000 personnel assigned to its mission. Pe their website, the wing is the Air Force Reserve Command’s first and only combat search and rescue unit that operates and maintains HC-130J Combat King II aircraft and HH-60W Jolly Green helicopters to accomplish an array of missions.

If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom or Epcot on the 4th of July, you might consider securing a spot with a view of either of the park’s icons ahead of time. In 2022, we watched the flyover from Main Street, U.S.A. probably somewhere around the Confectionery. This was an incredible view and experience. Be prepared that the aircrafts only come into view for a few seconds before they are gone.
Then, in 2023 we were staying at the BoardWalk and attempted to watch the flyover from that area. While they did fly over us, this location offered no focal point, and it was just really bad planning on my part. So if you are interested, you might take a closer look at the photos above to get an idea of where to stand.
