Where to Meet Sofia the First at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Sofia the First is once again meeting guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you’ve turned on Disney+ lately, you’ve likely seen that she has a new Disney Jr. television show called Sofia the First: Royal Magic. For reference, the original television series, Sofia the First, aired in 2012.
It was a surprise to find her meeting guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on a recent visit. That said, it’s great to have a few fresh Disney Jr. characters back in the park. Below, we’ll discuss where you can find Sofia’s meet-and-greet, plus a few photos and tips based on our experience.

Sofia the First Meet-and-Greet
Sofia the First meets guests throughout the day on Commissary Lane near Red Carpet Dreams, where Mickey and Minnie Mouse meet guests. She rotates this meet-and-greet with Bitsy, one of the SuperKitties, which is another popular Disney Jr. television series.

Sofia’s times are listed in the My Disney Experience app. You’ll want to check the app on the day of your visit for her exact times. Here are the instructions on how to do that:
How to Locate Characters in the My Disney Experience App
- Open the My Disney Experience app and select the pin drop at the bottom of the home screen.
- Scroll (left to right) through the icons at the top of the screen and select “Characters.”
- After selecting characters, use the locations drop-down to select the park of your choice.
- Then, on the bottom right of the screen, select “Show List.”
- Scroll through the list of characters with their times and locations.
- As an alternative, you can use the map view to locate characters.
*As the day passes, you might notice that characters disappear from the app. When their last scheduled time passes, the meet-and-greet automatically disappears. A new schedule won’t be loaded until the following day. It is essential to check the app for meet-and-greets on the day of your visit.

Sofia was wearing a vibrant amulet around her neck, and she carried a pretty silver and pink scepter. Instead of signing autographs, she has a signature card available. A cast member attending the meet should provide you with a card right before you meet her. If you don’t receive one, just ask one of the cast members wearing a light blue shirt.

A PhotoPass photographer was available to take photos on the day of our visit.

Here is a close-up of her autograph card.
