Long Hallways at Disney’s Yacht Club? Use this Shortcut to Avoid Them
We don’t have many complaints about staying at Disney’s Yacht Club. That said, we’ve been placed in a room at the end of a long hallway on a few of our stays. How long? Well, if you look at the picture below, you might notice the extensive length of the resort. The resort’s main lobby entrance is directly behind the lighthouse. Most of the Yacht Club’s rooms are to the left of the lighthouse, while the right side is mostly a convention center.
If you end up in a room on the far left side of the resort, it could feel like it takes forever to get to it. It’s a complaint we hear often. So if you end up in what feels like a remote location, you’re going to want to take advantage of a few shortcuts, especially if you’re walking to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Trust me, if you’re always coming and going through the resort entrance, you’re doing it wrong!

To better explain, I created this image that shows two locations where you can enter or exit the resort near the room areas. You’ll want to take advantage of the entrance closest to your room.

The first shortcut (closest to the lobby entrance) is in the U-shaped area where the gazebo sits. Most of the rooms in this area have a water view.

This private entrance is on the first floor between rooms 1065 and 1067. A stairwell and single elevator are available at this entrance. As a bonus, this is also where you’ll find one of the Yacht Club’s two laundry facilities, which is across from room 1063.

The image below shows how the resort is staggered. You can see both guest room entrances if you look closely. The second one is in front of the Swan Resort, which sits in the distance.

That second entrance is between rooms 1009 and 1011. A stairwell is available near this entrance.

The image below shows just how close the resort is to Disney’s Dolphin Resort. The path ahead takes a hard left at the bridge and continues to Disney’s BoardWalk and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Of course, the FriendShips also travel from the Yacht Club’s dock to Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and the surrounding resorts. So you don’t necessarily have to walk. For more on transportation at Disney’s Yacht Club, you might enjoy the following:
