Disney’s Beach Club Resort has seen many updates over the years, from routine room refurbishments to new additions that have changed parts of the resort experience. Given its size and popularity, it’s not uncommon to see refurbishments being completed around the resort. This page was created to provide a running timeline of our coverage of those refurbishments.

Below, we’ve organized refurbishment notices and updates in chronological order, starting with the most recent. That way, you can see what’s been completed, what’s in progress, and recent changes or updates. Where available, we’ve included links that provide more detailed updates with additional context and sometimes photos.

If you’re planning a stay at the Beach Club, this timeline will hopefully provide a better understanding of things that might impact your trip. Resort fans might also enjoy the historical timeline. It’s worth mentioning that some refurbishment work could additionally impact a stay at the Yacht Club, since the sister resorts share amenities. Disney’s Beach Club Refurbishment Updates

June 2026

Disney’s Beach Club continues its ongoing refurbishment with areas of the resort being sectioned off to receive new siding, trim, and roofing. March 2026

We visited Disney’s Beach Club to check out the areas of the resort that were undergoing exterior refurbishment. Our photo report details work that was being completed in March of 2026.

January 2026

November 2025

Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Entrance Construction Now Complete: Preview photos of the new entrances at both the Beach and Yacht Club.

August 2025

Disney announced that the Beach Club’s exterior refurbishment would be extended through 2027.

June 2025

Stormalong Bay Pool Reopens at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club: The pool has reopened after a six-month-long closure!

October 2024

Walt Disney World announced that Stormalong Bay, the pool area shared between the Beach and Yacht Club, would close for an extensive refurbishment between January and June of 2025. June 2024

Walt Disney World released a new video series highlighting some of the interior updates at Disney’s Beach Club in recent years.

November 2023

Newly designed rooms debuted at Disney’s Beach Club Resort in mid-2023. We stayed at the resort to provide updated photos of the Beach Club’s rooms in early November.

September 2023

1990

Disney’s Beach Club, a light blue pastel-toned resort, originally opened on November 5, 1990, alongside Disney’s Yacht Club. The two sister resorts share a three-acre swimming pool, boasting over 750,000 gallons of water. Both resorts sit near the shores of Crescent Lake, a 25-acre lake that centers the Epcot Resorts Area.
