Staying at Pop Century can be a blast, even if you have to do a couple of loads of laundry during your visit. But, let’s face it, for most of us, laundry is inevitable.
Below, I’ve put together a list of the laundry facilities with photos at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. That way, if you plan an upcoming stay, you can locate the laundry room nearest your room assignment.
For starters, there are three laundromats at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Each laundry is located at the resort’s pools.
Guests staying in the 60s and 70s section of the resort will want to use the laundry room near the Hippy Dippy Pool. Hippy Dippy is the resort’s feature pool located behind Classic Hall. (Buildings 4, 5, 6, and 10)
The laundry room at Hippy Dippy Pool shares a building with Petals Pool Bar. Walk around the side of the bar, and you’ll find the laundry area tucked away toward the back.
The pool’s restrooms and changing area are located within the same vicinity.
All of the laundry rooms at Pop Century are large. However, it can be busy, and sometimes a machine might not be available.
Disney uses a service called Laundry View for payment and managing the facilities. You can pull their website up on your phone to check how many machines are available or the status of your laundry.
Hippy Dippy’s status is available here on Laundry View.
When you arrive at any of the laundromats, you’ll need a credit or debit card to pay for each cycle. A machine on the wall takes your payment and then prompts you to select a machine that’s not in use.
In addition, there’s a separate vending machine that provides detergent and softener packets. Those vending machine also takes debit and credit cards.
Laundry costs approximately $3.00 a load, and detergent averages $1.00 per pack.
Another laundry facility at Pop Century sits outside the Bowling Pool in the 50s section of the resort. This laundry facility will be near your room assignment if you’re staying in buildings 1, 2, or 3.
And the third laundry room is at the Computer Pool in the 80s and 90s section of the resort.
Guests staying in Buildings 7, 8, and 9 will be nearest this laundromat. It sits directly between the pool and the 90s building.
Additionally, each laundromat usually has a vending machine with snacks and drinks.
