August 2026 Extended Evening Hours Schedule at Disney World
The Extended Evening Hours schedule for deluxe and deluxe villa guests is now available for August. This month remains pretty average with Epcot hosting extended evening hours on Mondays and Magic Kingdom on Wednesdays…until the last Wednesday of the month. On August 26th, we see a changeup where extended hours move to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This is not uncommon for this time of the year, and we expect to see even more changeups like this between now and the end of the year.
For those wondering, Extended Evening Hours allow select resort guests to experience the parks for a couple of hours after close on select evenings. Select resort guests means you have to be staying at a deluxe or deluxe villa resort. If you’re staying at a moderate, value, or off-site resort, you won’t be eligible for this extra benefit. For what it’s worth, we always plan to attend this special offering when eligible, and recommend that our readers do the same. For those who are eligible, this is one of the better perks of staying at a Disney World Hotel.
As of publish time, Extended Evening Hours will be held on the following evenings
- Monday, August 3rd at Epcot (9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
- Wednesday, August 5th at Magic Kingdom (10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.)
- Monday, August 10th at Epcot (9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
- Wednesday, August 12th at Magic Kingdom (10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.)
- Monday, August 17th at Epcot (9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
- Wednesday, August 19th at Magic Kingdom (10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.)
- Monday, August 24th at Epcot (9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
- Wednesday, August 26th at Disney’s Animal Kingdom (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
- Monday, August 31st at Epcot (9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
*Park hours might be extended between now and then.
Disney notes that applicable theme parks, days, and times of operation, attractions, and service availability may vary and are subject to change without notice.
We’ve created the calendar below to highlight the dates. Here is the PDF version. We’ve inserted “check hours” on the nights Magic Kingdom hosts extended evening hours. We did this because Disney might extend park hours. (This would be rare for Epcot.)
Our best advice is to double-check park hours on the day of your visit to ensure accuracy. You can view these hours in the My Disney Experience app. On the home page of the app, scroll down to the section titled “Plan My Visit,” and select Park Hours and Info. (We use this feature every time we visit the parks to double-check hours of operation.)

As always, those eligible for this benefit might want to pair these evenings with a partial resort day, slower morning, or midday break. Guests with park hopping entitlements can begin the day in one park and take advantage of extended evening hours by hopping to that park later. That said, if you do not have a park hopper ticket and are eligible for this benefit, you would need to plan your day at the park that’s offering Extended Evening Hours. If you don’t want to spend the entire day in the park, you can always leave and return later.
We always try to take advantage of this benefit whenever we’re eligible. Extended Evening Hours often mean lighter crowds and shorter waits for most attractions. August is typically a month that surprises guests. While it’s one of the hottest months of the year, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the slowest. Things tend to pick up with the start of the Halloween season and guests trying to squeeze in a last-minute visit before school starts back.
