Johari Treasures Gift Shop to Temporarily Close for Refurbishment at Kidani Village

Walt Disney World has announced that Johari Treasures, the gift shop at Kidani Village, will temporarily close later next month as part of the resort’s lobby refurbishment. The scheduled closure is expected to take place between Augst 17th and the 28th. Here is the official wording from the announcement:

“Beginning Aug. 17, the lobby and nearby areas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village will undergo refurbishment in phases. From August 17-28: Johari Treasures will be closed.”

For reference, the primary refillable mug station at Kidani Village is inside Johari Treasures. The notice did not state if a temporary refill station would be available elsewhere during the closure. For shopping during the closure, guests can walk or take the resort shuttle to Jambo House for Zawadi Marketplace, the gift shop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Kidani Village is a Disney Vacation Club Resort that’s part of the Animal Kingdom Lodge. An extensive room refurbishment recently wrapped up at the resort. In case you missed it, we also shared that an extensive lobby refurbishment would start at Kidani Village in August.
