Kidani Village Lobby to Undergo Lengthy Refurbishment Starting in Mid-August
Walt Disney World has announced that the lobby of Kidani Village will undergo a lengthy refurbishment starting in mid-August. The refurbishment is expected to last through October 9th. Here is the official wording of the announcement:
“Beginning Aug. 17, the lobby and nearby areas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village will undergo refurbishment in phases. From Aug. 17–Oct. 9: The main lobby and primary entrance will be closed. During this time, check-in will move to the Palace Library.”

In addition to the above notice, the lobby corridors will also be closed at certain times as part of the refurbishment. Here is the official wording for those notices:
- Sept. 28–Oct. 9: The north side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, the north side lobby elevators on the second floor and outdoor terrace observation deck will be unavailable.
- Oct. 26–Nov. 6: The south side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, Community Hall, Safari So Good Arcade, the laundry room, the Palace Library, lobby restrooms, and the outdoor terrace observation deck will be unavailable.
Per Disney, guests may see or hear construction activity in the lobby area during daytime hours, including periods of more noticeable noise, until the work is complete.
