Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show at Magic Kingdom Removed from Park Lineup
For years, Magic Kingdom welcomed guests each morning with a brief opening ceremony. Most recently, that offering was known as Let the Magic Begin. The show took place on the forecourt stage in front of Cinderella Castle, where a small group of performers, along with familiar Disney characters, officially marked the start of the day.
In recent weeks, changes to the park’s entertainment listings suggest that this long-running tradition may have come to an end. References to the morning welcome show have been removed from the official Walt Disney World website. The dedicated entertainment page that previously included Let the Magic Begin now redirects to a broader list of offerings within Magic Kingdom, where the show is no longer included.
At this time, no formal announcement has been made regarding the show’s status. However, the absence of any mention across official channels is notable, especially for an experience that was once a consistent part of the park’s daily schedule.
As you may know, the morning welcome show has evolved over the years at Magic Kingdom, with different versions taking place both at the train station and in front of the castle. Let the Magic Begin represented the most recent iteration of that tradition.
Whether this change is temporary or permanent remains to be seen. For now, guests arriving at park opening may notice a quieter start to the day than in years past. While it is true that most early birds are focused on heading straight to their first attraction, I can’t imagine a better way to start the day than being greeted by Mickey Mouse!
