Resort Lobby to Be Refreshed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Walt Disney World has announced that the lobby of Pop Century Resort will undergo a refurbishment starting in late July 2025. Work on the lobby is expected to continue through October. Here is the official announcement:

From July 28 through early October, the lobby at Disney’s Pop Century Resort will undergo a refresh. The lobby will remain open during construction, and all amenities will be available. Guests may hear or see maintenance in the area until work is complete.

Update: The lobby refurbishment is complete as of mid-November. We now have a photo report with a before-and-after look at Pop Century’s Lobby.

This lobby refurbishment joins the lengthy list of refurbishments that have taken place over the last year or so. You may also remember that a room refurbishment is underway and is expected to last through 2026. Disney shared a first look at the updates to the rooms earlier this year. (Update: Since this article was written, we’ve had a chance to stay at the resort and check out the updated rooms at Disney’s Pop Century.)

Additionally, last year Pop Century’s food court and gift shop were also entirely refurbished as part of an extensive multi-year refurbishment. Here’s a look at an updated dining area.
