Refurbishment at Wailulu Bar and Grill Will Cause Some Service Changes
A new refurbishment notice has been posted for Wailulu Bar and Grill at the Island Tower portion of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The table service restaurant will receive updates to the exterior roofing of the outdoor bar and dining area. Work is expected to begin tomorrow, April 23rd, and last through late June. During this time, the outdoor bar will only take walk-ups from opening until 5:00 p.m. daily. Outdoor seating will not be available. However, seating will resume after 5:00 p.m. until close. Here is the official wording of the announcement:

Wailulu Bar and Grill opened in late 2024 along with the rest of the Island Tower. At first, a walk-up only location, the table service restaurant began accepting reservations back in December. You may remember we recently stopped in to try the Wayfinder burger, which turned out to be a hit.
If you’re hoping to secure outdoor seating during this refurbishment, you’ll need to make reservations for after 5:00 p.m. The restaurant has quickly become a favorite among many, including ourselves. We can’t recommend it enough.
While Disney’s Polynesian is still undergoing refurbishment, we’re not aware of any other notices specific to the Island Tower. See our guide below for more refurbishment details at other resorts.
