New Rendering of Disney Lakeshore Lodge Highlights Resort Pool and Lazy River
Disney has released a new artist rendering of Disney Lakeshore Lodge that offers a unique look at the resort’s feature pool area, which includes a lazy river and water slide. The rendering offers our first real glimpse at what the water-facing side of the resort will resemble when it’s finished. A closer look reveals the pool will feature a lazy river area and what looks like a fun slide that offers a twist on the way down.
While we don’t have an exact opening date yet, Lakeshore Lodge is expected to open next summer (2027). The resort is being built on the shores of Bay Lake, nestled between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.
Lakeshore Lodge will be the newest hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection since the Island Tower opened at Disney’s Polynesian Village in late 2024. The new resort will be a combined Disney Resort Hotel and Disney Vacation Club offering a total of 967 rooms ranging from studios to suites. Many of the resort’s rooms will face Bay Lake, offering serene views of the water and the surrounding wilderness. At night, some rooms will offer views of the fireworks from Magic Kingdom. Additionally, the resort will offer lake houses along the waterfront consisting of one and two bedrooms. We get a better look at these in the latest concept art above.
Here are a few other fun facts we know so far about the resort:
- Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be inspired by Walt Disney’s appreciation of nature. The resort will offer nods to animated classics like Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear.
- The resort will offer floor-to-ceiling windows that allow natural light and showcase exterior views of its wildlife surroundings.
- As mentioned above, the resort will offer 967 rooms, ranging from studios to suites, with the addition of lake houses sitting on the waterfront.
- Lakeshore Lodge will have its own boat dock with service to the Magic Kingdom.
