Meet Daisy Duck at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Daisy Duck is always fabulous but even more so at her character meet-and-greet at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Daisy meets daily in Dinoland, U.S.A.

Below we’ll preview Daisy Duck’s character meet, and I’ll add a few tips for meeting her. With that said, I want you to know upfront that there have been many inconsistencies at character meets lately.

It’s no secret that Walt Disney World is hiring. Additionally, there’s a shortage of characters. So don’t be surprised if a favorite character meet is absent on the day of your visit or not running on schedule.

Daisy Duck meets on the Cretaceous Trail at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. When you enter Dinoland U.S.A. from Discovery Island, you’ll take a right on the walkway past the Boneyard Playground. The Cretaceous Trail will be a few steps up to the left.

There are two character meet-and-greets on the trail. First, you’ll run into Daisy’s meet-and-greet area. Then, Chip and Dale meet further down the trail. They are dressed as dinosaurs.

You can’t miss Daisy’s meet-and-greet location because there’s a dino with a scarf wrapped around its neck resting on a giant cork surface. You know Daisy had to add a little pizazz with that scarf.

Here is our fashion icon now looking as fabulous as ever.

Daisy Duck meets in intervals daily between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Currently, the My Disney Experience app lists Daisy’s meet-and-greet at the following times:

  • 10:00 a.m.
  • 10:30 a.m.
  • 11:00 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m.
  • 12:00 p.m.
  • 12:30 p.m.
  • 1:00 p.m.
  • 1:30 p.m.
  • 3:00 p.m.
  • 3:30 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m.
  • 4:30 p.m.
  • 5:00 p.m.
  • 5:30 p.m.

You’ll want to check the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for the exact timing. Unfortunately, my experience meeting characters was completely off schedule on the afternoon of this visit.

I arrived to meet Chip and Dale at the 2:30 p.m. listed meeting time. My plan was to meet them at 2:30 p.m. and then get in line to meet Daisy at 3:00 p.m.

When I arrived at the line for Chip and Dale, it was cut off, meaning no other guests could join. The cast member said they didn’t meet at 2:30 p.m. So I showed him the My Disney Experience app, and he apologized.

About that time, another cast member walked up and rudely stated that if someone had been injured, she would show them a little grace. It was very awkward.

I wasn’t upset and only asked him if this was normal for the meet and greet. She proceeded to walk off, and he apologized again. Chip and Dale were meeting guests ahead of us, so I’m unsure if anyone involved had suffered an injury.

With that said, I don’t necessarily like to share this kind of information with you. But if you get in a similar situation, you’ll at least know you’re not being singled out. It’s not worth getting upset when others don’t treat you kindly.

So I told the cast member I would return later, and I sat on a bench near Daisy’s meet-and-greet. At this point, it was about 2:20 p.m.

A line for Daisy’s meet-and-greet started to form at 2:40 p.m. After two guests got in line, I decided to join so I wouldn’t be any further back.

As you can imagine, by 3:00 p.m., we were all ready to meet Daisy Duck. Unfortunately, she was running late. But the PhotoPass photographer and cast member attending the meet were both there early.

At 3:05 p.m., the PhotoPass photographer said maybe she forgot to wake up. He was visibly getting frustrated. Approximately 30 guests were waiting behind me, and each minute was starting to feel like an eternity.

In response to the photographer, the cast member said she was supposed to be there already. He also mentioned it was a 25-minute set that ended at 3:30 p.m.

So I told him the My Disney Experience app said she would be back to meet at 3:30 p.m. He replied that Daisy’s meet-and-greet had been a little wonky lately.

He stated that Donald Duck’s meet-and-greet was consistent and suggested I go there next.

At 3:08 p.m., Daisy arrived. Naturally, she is the most gracious host. So nobody seemed to mind that she was a few minutes late.

However, I rushed through the meet since she was so late and so many others were waiting behind me. Unfortunately, I forgot to get her autograph. But Daisy Duck does sign autographs at this location.

Below is her autograph from her character meet at Epcot. Her signature should be similar at each location.

Ultimately, I ended up meeting all the characters at Donald’s Dino-Bash this afternoon. Each character’s location had considerable lines in addition to the timing issues with several of them.
